ALDION Consulting Meets the Mark
to become the First and Only
PRINCE2™ Accredited Training Organisation (ATO)
in Singapore and Southeast Asia

March 28, 2006
Singapore, London, Tuesday, March 28, 2006 – (business2media) – PRINCE2 (which stands for PRojects IN Controlled Environments) has become the UK’s de facto standard for organising, managing and controlling projects. It is a best-practice approach for the management of all types of projects, and is widely recognised and used in both public and private sectors. Its reputation as a highly effective, process-based approach to structuring and organising project delivery has now spread to countries around the world.
Worldwide, there are less than 100 organisations accredited to deliver the PRINCE2 training and certification. ALDION is the first professional service firm located in Singapore and Southeast Asia to gain the internationally recognised Accredited Training Organisation (ATO) status for the PRINCE2 project management method through the official Accreditation, Registration and Examination Certification Body – the APM Group in the UK.
Richard Pharro, Managing Director of the APM Group, complimented ALDION for the achievement, “We are delighted that an organisation the calibre of ALDION has gone through the rigorous assessment procedures to gain full accredited status. The successful accreditation speaks of ALDION’s ability to deliver courses of top calibre and I am confident that they will carry out the PRINCE2 courses to the highest standards. We look forward to working with ALDION closely in the future.”
Luis E. Alvarez, CEO of ALDION, said, “In today's business world, project management skills can make the difference between success and failure of a business. PRINCE2 is indeed a powerful competitive business weapon, which can be used by organisations to ensure fast time-to-market, establish measures of success, and achieve customer satisfaction. The real business proposition of PRINCE2 is that it helps companies implement business strategies, via projects in a controlled environment.”
“We congratulate ALDION in achieving the ATO status. NICC has accredited the PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner certifications as one of the key competencies to be developed in Singapore. Infocomm professionals are now able to acquire competencies for their career progression and upgrade their skills to stay competitively employed worldwide. ” said Lim Choon Heong, General Manager of the National Infocomm Competency Centre (NICC).
